“Life’s most persistent and urgent question is, ‘What are you doing for others?’
My name is Jacqui Kinyanjui and one of my greatest motivators in life is service to others. My desire to serve others is driven by a deep desire to see humanity thrive and each person I interact with find meaning and fulfillment in their life and pursuits. This is the very heartbeat of Jesus, the one I love and seek to emulate. As a servant leader, Jesus models for me what is possible as we lay ourselves down sacrificially for others. Originally arriving in Australia as an International student, I appreciate the unique challenges moving to a new country presents. I therefore see service to others as my opportunity to share the lessons learned as well as victories won along the way. Professionally, my executive career has spanned over 15 years in the For-Profit, Governmental and Educational sectors. I am particularly passionate about social justice issues and value any opportunity to input into these. On a personal front, I am a wife and doting mother to two fine young boys who inspire me every day to keep striving for a world in which every person is valued and respected and Christ Jesus is honoured.
I hold bachelors’ level qualifications in Law (LLB) and Business (Banking and Finance) as well as a postgraduate qualification in Criminology and Criminal Justice. I currently work in academia teaching in the areas of Law and Criminology. I am also highly involved in the community serving in various capacities including as the Leader for Mountain Climbers this network of women who are passionate about impacting families and communities through the power of prayer. I also serve as the Vice Chairperson of Kenya Community Victoria a not-for-profit entity that promotes the welfare and wellbeing of Kenyans in the State of Victoria by working closely and collaboratively with the Kenyan community, the Kenyan Embassy in Australia, and relevant Australian Governmental entities. In service I have found my mission, purpose and destiny in this life and my ultimate desire is that through my life, the Lord would be glorified.
